Team Desert Dawgs is a diverse group of individuals that have a love for animals and a passion for racing. Our members are mechanics, firefighters, law enforcement, computer specialists, nurses and more.
When not racing our members can be found volunteering at our local animal shelter or fostering injured or sick animals. Four of our team members maintain and operate a mobile spay/neuter and disaster response clinic owned by a local animal group .
Members of Team Desert Dawgs provided 24/7 staffing of the mobile clinic during recent Wildland fires in Northern California. Assisted by a team of emergency vets and vet techs provided by the State of California, over fifty animals were treated during a two week period.
In addition to racing, Team Desert Dawgs raises funds for selected animal shelters and welfare organizations. The race car can be found displayed at local animal related events, car shows, sprint car races and other events where we feel our message will help save animals lives.
As a team we want to thank all of you who have either adopted or rescued a homeless companion animal and have given them a loving and lifetime home. For those of you looking for a pet, make your local shelter or rescue group your first stop in finding that new love of your life.
